Being someone who was born in October, it is almost natural that I am obsessed with everything autumn-related. From colours, patterns to the weather and activities. But this year, autumn feels different for many reasons, but we can make it feel at least a bit more normal by dressing up even if we have nowhere to go.
I have created 7 autumn outfits and looks for every day of the week for you to get inspired to spice things up this fall. I am aware that some of the items are pricey but don’t feel pressured into buying such pieces. You are more than encouraged to find cheaper pieces online or even better- at home in your own closet.
Blazer: Bella Freud / T-shirt: Alexa Chung / Jeans: Agolde /Bag: Chloe / Shoes: Gucci / Necklace: Monica Vinader
I absolutely adore mixing different shades of brown during autumn. It gives your look a touch of cosiness, but also like you actually made an effort while picking out your outfit. This look is definitely on the pricier side with the Gucci loafers but you can go with something more affordable and still look good. The Chloe bag will also give your outfit a new dimension with the faux croc pattern but again- you can go for a cheaper alternative. This can be worn pretty much anywhere- even at home if you want to feel productive while working from your office in the bedroom.
Coat: Topshop / Sweater: Bella Freud / Jeans: Agolde / Shoes: Topshop / Bag: Mulberry / Hat: Rag and Bone
This outfit just screams cosy and snuggly yet stylish, and that is what we should aim for this autumn and winter. The teddy bear coat is a statement piece everyone should have in their closet. I am speaking from experience. It is like wearing an actual blanket but you still look like a diva. This rest of the outfit is black but again with textured accessories which give the whole look a new dimension. You can again go for cheaper alternatives- this is just to give you an idea. It is perfect for going to the park or walking your dogs.
Oversized blazer: Petar Petrov / T-shirt: Topshop /Jeans: Agolde / Bag: Gu_De / Shoes: Proenza Schouler / Sunglasses: Illesteva
This look is definitely more on the masculine site which I somehow absolutely love. When you add a bold red lipstick like I did in this case, it can create a juxtaposition effect which is also amazing. It is also giving me some massive dark academia vibes (if you ignore the black jeans). Dark academia has been a big trend lately, and I am here for it. Therefore, I couldn’t resist putting this little piece together. Oversized blazers are absolutely stunning, and if you pair them with a blazer, you instantly look chic. The whole outfit is minimalistic but somehow still stylish.
Coat: Rag and Bone / T-shirt: Gestuz / Jeans: J Brand / Shoes: Valentino / Bag: CHYLAK
I am in love with this coat, and it is something that has been on my dream wish list for aeons. The pattern and the cut are to die for! I have been a big lover of Rag and Bone for years, but it can be expensive. There are, however, a bunch of cheaper alternatives out there for you to find. I love how moody colours are together. You really can´t go wrong with an autumnal palette. And not just in autumn. To make the outfit a bit sportier, you can add some chunky sneakers and call it a day!
Coat: Madewell / T-shirt: Loewe / Jeans: Agolde / Shoes: Veja / Bag: Mulberry
I am not even feeling guilty for using so many beige and brown colours in these outfits. I mean, you might end up blending with your surroundings on your daily walk, but there's nothing wrong with that, innit?Walks might be the only thing I will be dressing up for in the foreseeable future. Comfy sneakers are definitely a must-have. These Veja ones are also on my radar. They are just such a staple piece.
Leather jacket: Topshop / Sweater: Acne / Jeans: Agolde / Bag: Chloe / Shoes: By Far
Now, this outfit is my personal favourite. It is cosy, autumnal to the core, and comfortable. I can totally imagine myself drinking a pumpkin spiced latte in it. The shoes by By Far are, in my opinion a piece of art that should be in a gallery. Combining brown tones with shades of purple is always a good idea. Another outfit you can wear pretty much anywhere- yes even for a Tesco run if it comes to that. Sometimes you really have to find even the smallest and most random opportunity to dress up.
Coat: Topshop / Pants: Monse / Sweater: Joanie Clothing / Shoes: Gabriela Hearst / Bag: Saint Laurent / Necklace: Jennifer Myers
This outfit is something I would personally wear the heck out off. I am obsessed with these shoes. They make you look like a very cool librarian/ professor, and the dark academia vibes are seeking through yet again. The coat is making its appearance again. This cute sweater from Joanie Clothing is just something perfect to layer with- a blouse, hoodie or even with dresses if you are feeling rather elegant. I don’t really think you can go wrong with this look.
That is all I have for you today! I guess it is no secret that I am a sucker for earth tones. That doesn’t only apply to autumn. Such tones can really make you feel good inside and outside, and that’s all we need during these uncertain times. I really hope you love these outfits and try something similar next time you put some regular clothes on. Dressing nicely can help you be much more productive if you work from home- which I am sure most of us are right now as lockdowns become much more common all over Europe (the Czech Republic has been having one for over 2 weeks now…)
Stay safe and stylish! Oh - and cosy :)
